If your REMI shows 1111 on its display, it is necessary to update it and reset some of its parameters in order to solve the issue.
Switching to version 237
1- Connect your REMI to your computer by USB by removing the 1111: To do this, press the Bluetooth button before connecting it to the USB of your computer, and keep this button pressed until REMI displays “USb” (between 6 and 10 seconds). You should see it as a USB key on your computer.
2- Copy through USB the file “update.bin” available on this page (step 2) – http://startremi.urbanhello.com/support-en/ . Make sure that the file name is exactly “update.bin” because if it is not exactly that, it will not be taken into account by REMI.
3- Once this file is on REMI, press the Bluetooth button before plugging it into its AC adapter, and hold the Bluetooth button pressed until the face of REMI is displayed. Moments later, REMI displays 237.
Pairing your REMI to the application
1- You must redo the association between the application and REMI: press the “+” button at the top left of your central screen, and press “start association” at the bottom of the screen.
2- Choose your wifi network and follow the steps. Your REMI will display U1.00, then the time. Here, your REMI is operational again.
Checking your settings
– Your old events and timers must have been erased, and 4 default events are created in your events: 7:30 (Week Morning) – 9:00 (Weekend Morning) – 8:15 pm (Week Night) – 9:30 pm (Weekend Night) . It’s up to you to redo the events that suit you.
=> If your old events are still present, please follow again the steps to reset REMI’s internal settings.
– If you needed to do this in the past, you need to set the darkness detection again: In the settings, go down until you see “the night light turns off at night”. The application will ask you to put REMI in complete darkness and start the setting. Put your REMI in total darkness, and follow the steps. This will take you to a setting that lasts 40 seconds.
